Radio’s Whipping Boy Selling A.H. Home

March 18, 2010

Radio personality Brian Paruch is trying to sell his Arlington Heights home, like many sellers in the Chicago real estate market.

Paruch and his wife, Stacy, have listed their Victorian home in Arlington Heights for $594,900 that the couple bought it in 2005.

400 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights

The home, located at 400 East Euclid Ave., was built in 1904 as a single-family dwelling and then divided into two separate units in 1934.

The first-floor includes 2 bedrooms and a den. The 5-room, second-floor has two bedrooms and two decks. There is a total of 3.5 baths. A separate coach house and large roof deck are situated over the detached, three-car garage.

Located on the corner of Euclid and Belmont, the spacious home boasts art glass windows, high ceilings, built-in bookcases and curved archways. The Paruch’s had planned to convert the units into a single-family home but instead have been renting out both units and the coach house.

A new buyer could convert the Arlington Heights beauty back into a single-family home or keep it as an income property.

Paruch, 36, who was born in Blue Island and grew up in Roselle, is a radio personality for The Score, WSCR-670-AM, and The Mix, WTMX-101.9-FM. After graduating from the University of Illinois, he worked for 12 years at FM rock stations in Chicago where his on-air nickname was “Brian the Whipping Boy.”
