Enjoy resort living in Oak Brook for $6.9 million.

The Oak Brook mansion that once belonged to former Chicago Blackhawk Chris Chelios is back on the market, minus the hockey rink.

Chelios sold the 16,000-square-foot estate in 2005 for $4.5 million. The current owners renovated the property, converting the hockey rink into a putting green, and have listed the home for $6.9 million.

The 22-room English Tudor-style mansion, located at 707 Deer Trail Lane, sits on 1.52-acres in Oak Brook’s Hunter Trails area, a gated community.

Built in 1998, the home boasts six bedrooms, six baths, two half baths, a pool, spa, waterfall, fountains, tennis and basketball courts. It is resort living in the Chicago area.

Chelios and his wife paid $850,000 for the Oak Brook land in 1996. The couple also own a home in Malibu, which they bought for $6 million in 2003.

A native of Evergreen Park, Chelios, 48, was the Hawks defenseman from 1990 – 1999 and team captain the last four years. After playing with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL the last couple seasons, he was recalled by the Atlanta Thrashers and is now the oldest player in the NHL.
