Former Bull Nets Home Sale, $1 Million Loss

April 06, 2010

Ben Wallace finally sold his Lake Forest beauty, but dropped nearly $1 million in the process.

Former Chicago Bull Ben Wallace got rid of two things on April 1: His Lake Forest mansion and close to $1 million.

And that’s no April Fool’s Day joke.

Wallace sold his 6,983-square-foot home last Thursday for $2.0575 after paying $3 million for the Lake Forest estate in 2006.

Built in 2005, the gated estate is situated on 1.74 acres at 1392 W. Old Mill Road and has five bedrooms, five full baths and three half baths. The 14-room mansion also boasts a library, butler’s pantry, wine cellar, billiard room and eight fireplaces.
