HBAGFV to Host Open House this Thursday

May 11, 2010

The Home Builders Association of Greater Fox Valley (HBAGFV) is looking for members.

John R. Hall, Jr., President of the HBAGFV, said that during the recession, the Association was written off by many, even shunned by some, but those that remained loyal have kept the almost 30-year-old group together and going strong.

May is National Membership Month, and Thursday is the Association’s membership meeting: Membership Drive Open House is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Claddagh Irish Pub in Geneva Commons. Tickets are usually $10 online and $15 at the doors for members and $20 online and $25 at the door for non-members, but for this month’s meeting, everyone gets in for $10.

The General Membership Fee is $499 by check, or $514 online, and provides you full membership to Home Builders Association of Illinois (HBAI), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and NAHB Remodelers.

Hall says that joining HBAGFV will reap you and your organization rewards, including saving and making you money while building lifelong relationships, and he’s not the only one who thinks that.

“Being part of the Home Builders Association of Greater Fox Valley is more than just an affiliation, it is an opportunity. An opportunity that if you get out and get involved will reap benefits for years to come,” said Roger Greenhagle of Apex Exteriors. “The networking possibilities are endless, and the friendships I have built within the association are some I consider to be the strongest relationships I have. They are friendships that have helped me in good times and in bad. The benefits of membership far outweigh the cost!”
