Airhart Debuts Ranch Townhomes at Mackenzie Place in Wheaton

May 29, 2010

New townhome buyers who appreciate the convenience of single-level living but don’t want to sacrifice space, style or comfort have two more reasons to visit Mackenzie Place in Wheaton — now that Airhart Construction has introduced two new nicely priced ranch designs priced from $389,900 and $409,900.

Airhart Construction recently debuted two new ranch townhome floorplans at Mackenzie Place in Wheaton.

Inspired by client feedback and also the demand for single-family ranches at other communities, the builder decided to expand its single-level offerings to low-maintenance townhome shoppers and debut two new affordable home styles at Mackenzie Place. The new ranches are:

  • The Forsyth, featuring three bedrooms, two full baths and 1,718 square feet; and
  • The Highland, providing two bedrooms, two baths and 1,435 square feet.

“Our community offers a unique setting with beautifully landscaped grounds, including pond views from the patios of many of its homes,” said Heather Mistele, sales manager for Airhart Construction. “Because most building configurations house two residences, most of the townhomes we build are preferred end units providing extra privacy. The masonry exteriors, with stucco and shingle siding accents, have an enduring look that buyers adore. And the open floor plans are appealing with spacious kitchens, ample windows, fireplaces and many other custom amenities.”

In all, Mackenzie Place buyers can select from six different townhomes — three ranches and three two-story designs (two of which include a first-floor master suite). Every home provides two to four bedrooms; two to four baths; a full basement; luxurious kitchen with custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances; nine-foot first and second-floor ceilings; deluxe woodwork and trim; two-car attached garage; spacious walk-in closets; large breakfast areas and dens (per plan); and 1,435 to 2,716 square feet. Base prices range from $389,900 to $570,000. Options depend on the unit, and can include a private elevator, custom bookcases, screened-in porch, and virtually unlimited customizations to cater to any buyer’s preferences.

Airhart added that only 11 opportunities remain to have a townhome built at Mackenzie Place. Meanwhile, buyers eager to move in quickly can choose from two move-in ready townhomes waiting to be claimed:

  • A McBride ranch, with three bedrooms; two baths; priced at $475,000 — a savings of almost $75,000.
  • A two-story Kincaid, including three bedrooms; two-and-a-half baths; reduced in price to $549,000 — nearly an $116,000 savings.

Mackenzie Place is an enclave of attached two- and three-residence custom Manor Home styles located one block south of Geneva Road and President Street in north Wheaton.

Sales for Mackenzie Place are being conducted at Airhart Construction’s Fisher Farm community or by appointment. To reach Mackenzie Place, take I-355 to Roosevelt Road; head west to President Street; and proceed north approximately one mile to the community on the right (located just south of Geneva Road).
