So, have you had a chance to get a glimpse of the movie Transformers 3 being shot in downtown Chicago?

The filming continues this weekend, which means city street closures and CTA bus reroutes.

There will also be low-flying helicopters from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday along the Chicago River, so be sure to duck.

Also on Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m., there will be a helicopter shooting aerial pictures around Daley Plaza. That baby is going to come down to approximately 200 feet above the plaza. Should be cool to see.

There will be brief street and sidewalk closures throughout those three hours on Clark, Randolph, Dearborn and Washington Streets.

Here’s the lowdown from 8 p.m., Friday, July 23 through 5 a.m., Monday, July 26:

*Wacker Drive will be closed from Wabash Avenue to State Street

*Wabash Avenue will be closed between Wacker Drive and Lake Street

These CTA buses will be rerouted:

*No. 2 Hyde Park Express

*No. 6 Jackson Park Express

*No. 10 Museum of Science & Industry

*No. 122 Illinois Center/Ogilvie Express

*No. 123 Illinois Center/Union Express

*No. 124 Navy Pier, No. 134 Stockton/LaSalle Express

*No. 135 Clarendon/LaSalle Express

*No. 136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express

*No. 144 Marine/Michigan Express

*No. 146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express

For more details on the reroutes, visit the CTA web site or call (888) 968-7282.

By the way, Shia of Crain’s Taking Names is reporting that Transformers 3 director Michael Bay wanted to use the Hancock building during a stunt scene with parachutists, but nearby residents said no.

Members of Streeterville Organization of Active Residents (Soar) voted to not allow the Hancock to participate in the scene after board members talked to nearby condo associations.

The stunt (see picture) was done over the weekend at Trump Tower.
