Download Free Celeb Cookbook to Help Feed Hungry

August 06, 2010

How would you like to get a cookbook for free while supplying a meal for someone in need?

The Pampered Chef is offering an eCookbook that you can download for free called Cookbook for a Cause.

For every download of the free cookbook from August 1 through September 30, one meal will be donated to Feeding America, up to 140,000 meals.

The cookbook features recipes from celebrities and members of the Feeding America Entertainment Council, including actors Courteney Cox and David Arquette, host of Iron Chef America Mario Batali and cookbook author Katie Lee.

Feeding America, the nation’s leading charitable domestic hunger-relief organization, last year provided food to more than 37 million people in the United States, including 14 million children and three million seniors.

The Pampered Chef, a part of the Berkshire Hathaway family of businesses, was created in the Chicago basement of Doris Christopher in 1980. It offers time-saving tools for the kitchen and an opportunity for women to work while staying home with their children.

I attended a Pampered Chef party once and bought a deviled egg holder that I love.

Since 1991, Pampered Chef customers and independent consultants have partnered with Feeding America through the Round-Up from the Heart campaign to raise more than $14.6 million to help feed the hungry.

The goal this year is to donate 10 million pounds of food for those in need across the country.
