fall events in McHenry IlNow that the kids are back in school, thoughts are turning to fall activities. Perhaps you even have a little extra time now? There is certainly no shortage of opportunities to volunteer, but here’s one we’d like for you to consider.  The City of McHenry is looking for volunteers for the Parks and Recreation department.

It is easy to volunteer if you already live in McHenry. Homeowners at Liberty Trails enjoy McHenry County new homes just minutes away from all the activities the city has to offer. This master-planned community offers greenspace, convenience and luxury, all in one package.

For homeowners who want to help out, there are lots of opportunities. Events include Preteen Jam, Halloween Hoopla and Holiday Activities. Other recreational activities include Pee Wee Basketball Camp, Cheer Pom Camp, Pee Wee Flag Football Camp, Open Gym, Gymnastics, Swim Team, T-Ball, Teach Me Sports, Tennis, Tumbling, Pee Wee Tumbling and Volleyball Skills Camp. To volunteer you must be at least 14 years old and available for all of the dates for the program you choose. For more information, download the McHenry Parks and Recreation Volunteer Form.
