Brokerage Firm Unveils Best Views of Chicago

August 23, 2010

Last month I told Chicago residents about an opportunity to be in a book.

Dream Town Realty is publishing “Chicago in Focus,” a coffee table book filled with pictures of our city taken by those who live there.

“The response we had was extraordinary. We received over 3,200 entries,” said Yuval Degani, president and co-founder of Dream Town Realty. “We were beyond impressed with the photo submissions and the level of creative talent represented here.”

Approximately 125 of the submitted photos were chosen for the book, and the winner’s pic is going to go on the cover.

The winners were announced earlier this month at an awards reception that raised money for La Casa Norte, an organization that helps the homeless in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Besides getting their photo on the cover, the first-place winner also won $2,500. Two second-place winners took home $500 and four third-place finalists won $250.

All you had to do was submit a photo to get a free copy of the book.
