City to Offer Help for Struggling Homeowners

Chicago real estate foreclosure rates are at an all-time high.

Are you having trouble paying your mortgage? Don’t become one of the statistics. There is help.

The City of Chicago is hosting a Borrower Outreach Day this Saturday at Prosser Career Academy High School.

At this event, homeowners can:

*Meet with lenders and credit counselors

*Receive loan work-out sessions with counseling agencies

*Get access to free legal assistance on foreclosure issues

*Learn about mortgage refinancing options

*Get information on financial literacy programs

In addition to this Saturday’s event, the city will also hold Borrower Outreach Days on:

*Saturday, November 13; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Wells Community Academy High School, 9376 N. Ashland, Chicago

*Saturday, December 11; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Corliss High School, 821 E. 103rd St., Chicago

When: Saturday, September 18; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Prosser Career Academy High School, 2148 N. Long Ave., Chicago
