Largest Ever MLS Conference in Chicago This Week

The largest CMLS conference ever assembled kicks off today in Chicago. Well, tees off, actually.

Representatives from multiple listing services all over North America are in Chicago this week for the Council of Multiple Listing Services 2010 Conference.

Participants in CMLS 2010 will experience Chicago architecture first hand aboard the Chicago's First Lady fleet.

The event begins today with the annual golf outing. There will be a Chicago architectural boat tour Wednesday afternoon and a cocktail party Wednesday evening at the Westin Chicago River North Hotel.

Thursday and Friday will include day-long discussions with CEOs and MLS staff from around the country.

Some of the speakers at CMLS 2010 Chicago: Insight Into The Future include:

*Melanie Blakeney, CMLS President

*Marcel Bryar, Vice President, Fannie Mae Making Home Affordable Program

*Brian Carroll, MLS and Technology Coordinator of the Peoria Area Association of Realtors

*Brian Larson, attorney from Larson/Sobotka PLLC

*Andrea Rubin, Vice President, Community Management with North America for Yelp

*Larry Romito, President and CEO of Qualify Service Certification, Inc.

Some of the topics covered will include:

*Top Trends Impacting the Future of the Real Estate Industry

*Ratings, Rankings and Recommendations, regarding rating real estate agents and other real estate oriented professionals

*Short Sales Assistance from the Feds

*Importance of Leaders and Followers

*And, of course, the impact of social media

Throughout the conference, vendors will be on hand displaying their real estate products and services.

The conference will include a reception at Navy Pier Thursday night and a closing dinner banquet at the Westin River North on Friday night.

Hosted by Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED), CMLS 2010 will be the largest attended multiple listing service organization conference of the year and the largest CMLS conference ever.
