Highlander’s Heritage Homes Wins Gold for Palos Park Home

November 17, 2010

Chicagoland Real Estate Forum congratulates Highlander’s Heritage Homes for winning a Gold Key Award in the category of “Excellence in New Construction; 6,501 square feet and over” for a home in Palos Park.

The idea behind this home was to design a residence that completely matched with the lifestyle of the homeowners, who, with builder’s suggestions, were completely involved in choosing all the details of the layout of the home and overall design.

The challenge was to incorporate grandeur and elegance for tasteful entertaining along with the comfortable aspects needed for family living. The size and topography of the lot has allowed for a number of features, which were a must for the owners: circular drive, abundance of landscape and hardscape, first-floor master suite, enormous walk-out lower level and great backyard for indoor and outdoor entertaining purposes.

The architect on this project was W. K. Olson Architects.

The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago Key Awards were created in 1972 to recognize excellence in housing design, architecture, interior merchandising, remodeling and landscaping. It has since evolved into one of the premier housing programs in the country.
