Oakley Home Builders Wins Gold for Western Springs Home

November 17, 2010

Chicagoland Real Estate Forum congratulates Oakley Home Builders for winning a Gold Key Award in the category of “Excellence in New Construction Custom Home; 3,501 square feet and over” for a house at 5115 Fair Elms Ave. in Western Springs.

Oakley Home Builders was contracted to construct a custom home for a family in Western Springs. The family of four had budget constraints while desiring a quality constructed, architecturally pleasing and family friendly living environment.

The result was a traditional colony blend home nestled in the bustling city. This country charmer is four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms with three floors of living space. The kitchen provides the family with traditional elements as well as contemporary style. The custom home is true to the farmhouse style with wainscoting, built-ins galore, hardwood flooring and plenty of architectural design elements accentuating the rustic country feel.

Oakley Home Builder’s clients have referred to the home as more than a dream home. “It’s surreal to own a home that is multi-functional and completely gorgeous at the same time. We couldn’t be happier with the process and the finished product.”

This home features many green elements that Oakley Home Builders places in all of their homes. These items include Energy Star rated appliances, HVAC equipment, bath fans and a heavily upgraded blown-in fiber insulation package.

The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago Key Awards were created in 1972 to recognize excellence in housing design, architecture, interior merchandising, remodeling and landscaping. It has since evolved into one of the premier housing programs in the country.
