Winter Holiday Season is On in Chicago

November 19, 2010

holiday home decoratingAfter posting such wonderful pictures of your Chicago homes all dressed up for Halloween, I have been wondering when I will see the first house decorated for the winter holidays.

It happened the other day as I was on my way home from the HBAGC Key Awards ceremony.

Looks like it’s officially that time of year.

Do you decorate your home for the holidays? Please send us a picture to news@chicagorealestateforum.com and we’ll post it on our site.

Come on, Chicagoland, get festive!

The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park opens today.

Millennium Park ice rinkIt was actually supposed to open on Wednesday but couldn’t because of unseasonably warm weather in the Chicago area, which I personally have been loving.

Located on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison Streets, the ice skating rink is free and open to the public, though you can rent skates for $10.

The rink, which attracts more than 100,000 skaters each year, is in its 10th season.

It is scheduled to be open through March 13, 2011, though hopefully warm weather will change that date too.

For more information about the rink, including hours of operation, visit www.millenniumpark.org.
