Journey to See Santa on the Happy Holiday Railway

December 15, 2010

Remember what it was like being a child, waiting excitedly for the Polar Express to pass by your house so that you had a chance to take a trip to the North Pole? If you’re like the rest of us, you never had the opportunity to make that fabled journey. However, you can still have the same experience this year by taking a ride on the Happy Holiday Railway at the Illinois Railway Museum.

Residents of McHenry County New Homes won’t have to travel far to take a ride on the Happy Holiday Railway. Not yet a resident of McHenry County? No problem. Gerstad Builders can help you make it a December to Remember by putting a new home under your tree. To sweeten the deal, Gerstad Builders is offering 50 percent off all Design Center Selections from now until the end of the year.

Speaking of sweets, the Happy Holidays Railway will have warm goodies available and a chance to make a scrapbook page of the fantastic ride. Plus, children who are on Santa’s “good list” will receive a fun gift.

Happy Holiday Railway trips are available Dec. 18 and 19 on the hour from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $12 person and everyone over the age of one must have a ticket to ride.

For more information and directions to the Happy Holiday Railway, visit the Illinois Railway Museum website.
