Forget the North Pole: Santa’s a Chicago Resident!

Did you know that Santa has a house right here in Chicago?

It’s true. Old St. Nick will be residing at the Santa House on Daley Plaza through December 24.

Construction of the Santa HouseThe Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Santa House was designed and built by Chicago companies:

*Czarnowski: Headquartered in Chicago, provided the design, fabrication, technology, installation and project management for the Santa House in Daley Plaza.

*Ohms Designs Inc.: This independently owned and operated design company with headquarters in the heart of Chicago’s art district helped with design, layout, facade and set construction.

*McGrath Architects, P.C.: The architect of record, McGrath is one of Chicago’s premier green and sustainable architectural groups serving residential and commercial clients.

UL will be offering free photos of your loved ones with Santa that you can download, but feel free to bring your own camera for easy snapping.

Where: Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington Street, Chicago

When: The hours of operation for this week:

*Monday, December 20 through Thursday, December 23; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

*Friday, December 24; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*Santa is busy on December 25
