Free Finance Workshops Around Chicago

We are about two weeks into the new year. Hopefully you have stayed true to your resolutions of organizing your Chicago home and getting your health on track.

The Chicago Public Library and the Federal Reserve are teaming up to offer free Money Smart programs at local library branches beginning this month.

The programs will be held throughout the year at select library locations throughout Chicago. All programs are free and open to the public, and registration is not required.

The first session is entitled: Money Smart: Misconceptions about Bankruptcy and How to Avoid Foreclosure.

Set for Wednesday at the Harold Washington Library Center, this workshop will offer options to help you take control of your finances and teach you how bankruptcy could actually save your home. It will be presented by Money Smart partner, Fonfrias Law Group, LLC.

Where: Harold Washington Library Center, in the Authors Room, 400 S. State Street, Chicago
