Can you guess the name of the largest auto show in North America?

It’s the Chicago Auto Show, of course, which starts today, Friday, February 11, and runs through Sunday, February 20.

chicago auto show logoNot only is it the largest car show, but it also has been held more times than any other auto expo on the continent.

This year marks the 103rd Chicago Auto Show.

Settled in 1.2-million square feet in Chicago’s McCormick Place, the exposition has nearly 1,000 different vehicles on display. There will also be interesting events and appearances going on all week long. Visit chicagoautoshow.com for details.

You can purchase tickets in advance at DriveChicago.com. Admission is $11 for adults; $7 for seniors 62 and older and for children ages seven to 12. Children under age seven are free with a paying adult.

Discount days:

*Coupons for half-priced tickets are available at participating BP gas stations around Chicagoland for any day of the show.

*Tuesday, February 15: Women’s Day, so all women get in for $7. There will also be special women-oriented programs throughout the day.

*Wednesday, February 16 through Friday, February 18: Chicago Auto Show Food Drive; bring three cans of food and receive a coupon for $7 admission. The food will be donated to A Safe Haven Foundation.

*Friday, February 18: Telemundo Hispanic Day. Read about it at telemundochicago.com.

There is extensive shuttle bus service to and from the convention center and all area parking lots plus stops in 10-15 minute intervals near Upper Columbus Drive, Lower Randolph Street and Gate 3 at McCormick Place.
