Yours Could be the Most Popular Garage in Chicago

March 27, 2011

This is too cool. How would you like a rock band to perform at your Chicago home?

The Foo Fighters have announced that they will play some free gigs in fan’s garages in April.

The group has launched the “Rock the Garage” competition, in which one lucky fan from each participating city will win the chance to host a free concert in their garage with 50 of their closest friends.

Besides the music, the Foo Fighters Garage Performance grand-prize winners will get “Meet and Greet” time with the band, an autographed copy of the band’s latest album “Wasting Light” and an official photo with the Foo Fighters.

Total value of the prize: $32,000.

To enter, send a photo of your possible venue, plus a statement of no more than 25 words on why the Foo Fighters should play your garage.

To qualify, fans must live in or around:

The Foo Fighters

*New York

*Dallas/Fort Worth

*Washington D.C.

*Minneapolis/St. Paul

Hurry, deadline for entry is Thursday, March 31. The Chicago concert date will be April 19.

we don’t have a garage. can we borrow yours?

I’m sure many Chicago residents would donate their garages to your cause. I, personally, lack a garage as well.
