Chicago Real Estate Condos Discounted

June 01, 2011

As you know from reading Chicago Real Estate Forum, condo prices in the city have hit their lowest levels in more than 10 years.

It’s a buyers market, and if you are in the market to buy a Chicago condo, there is a luxurious building with units available at huge discounts.

The Park Monroe, 55 E. Monroe St. in Chicago, is an office building that overlooks Millennium Park. The uppermost floors, from 42 to 49, have been transformed into condominium residences with luxurious features.

Numerous units on those floors are being offered at unprecedented amounts, including several condos that have been discounted more than $100,000 off their previous prices and one for $500,000 off.

The residences have a separate entrance at 65 East Monroe, just a few steps off of Michigan Avenue. Homes boast gourmet kitchens, private terraces and in-unit washer and dryer hookups.

The floor-to-ceiling windows provide breathtaking views of Grant and Millennium Parks, Lake Michigan and the city, and that view is landmark protected.

The building offers The Park Monroe Club, a private retreat reserved for residents and located on the penthouse floor. The club includes a fitness center, a swimming pool, a whirlpool spa and sundeck, a DVD theater, an entertainment suite with a catering kitchen and an expansive rooftop garden with dramatic lakefront views.
