Famous Chicago Resident to Take Another Role as Landlord

June 04, 2011

Want to live in a piece of Chicago real estate that has been graced by a local famous guy?

Actor Vince Vaughn’s River North townhouse will be available for rent on July 1 for a mere $8,000 a month.

You could live in the home where comedian Vince Vaughn lived.

The 4,008-square-foot home is located at 446 West Superior Street and includes three bedrooms, three-full and two-half baths, a home theater, a rooftop deck with city views and a three-car garage.

Four of the home’s rooms — living room, family room, den and master suite — boast flat-screen TVs.

Vaughn paid $1,425,500 for the new home in August of 2005, and last year he rented it out for $7,000 a month.

Guess this landlord has gotten word that rental prices are going up in the city.

Vaughn, 41, a Lake Forest native, will continue to live in his main Chicago home: A 7,800-square-foot duplex on the 36th and 37th floors of the Palmolive building, a Chicago Historical Landmark.

The actor purchased that home in 2006 through a trust for $12 million in one of the city’s highest residential purchases ever.
