Metro Chicago Real Estate Firms Honored for Charity Work

June 04, 2011

Four metro Chicago real estate groups were recently recognized for work they did outside the housing industry.

The firms, all part of the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network, were honored for their 2010 fundraising efforts that benefited the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) and specifically Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago.

Each of the firms received an Outstanding CMNH Citizen Award from RE/MAX Northern Illinois for their charity work.

Here are the RE/MAX firms honored and their total 2010 donations to Children’s Memorial:

* RE/MAX Suburban, with offices in Arlington Heights, Glen Ellyn, Libertyville, Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg and Wheaton — $25,879.

* RE/MAX Showcase, with offices in Gurnee, Lake Forest, Long Grove and Waukegan — $12,023.

* RE/MAX of Barrington and RE/MAX Now, both located in Barrington — $10,612.

* RE/MAX All Pro of Bloomingdale and Sugar Grove and RE/MAX Great American North of St. Charles — $6,419.

“In what have been challenging economic times for our industry, these firms and their agents and staff have shown remarkable commitment to assisting Children’s Memorial in carrying out its mission of healing for children of all backgrounds, regardless of their families’ economic resources,” said Laura Ortoleva, RE/MAX Northern Illinois CMNH liaison.

“We sincerely congratulate them on their results and thank them for their efforts.”

Each RE/MAX firm is independently owned and operated. A couple of the companies made the 2011 Real Trends 500, an annual report from Real Trends magazine that ranks the 500 most successful residential firms in the country.

The top-ranked company in Northern Illinois was RE/MAX Suburban.
