May This Be a Fruitful Month

August 01, 2011

Welcome to August, our Chicago real estate fans.

As you may have read, July wasn’t the easiest month to deal with around here. For that story, see:

Illinois Owes Us Residents a Good Month

It has been said that August is a slow news month. Never fear, Chicagoland Real Estate Forum will figure something interesting to talk about, including some of these observances. After all, this is only a partial list of important causes recognized during the month of August.

We didn’t even mention the ever-important: Spiderman Day (August 1), Particularly Preposterous Packaging Day (7), National Duran Duran Appreciation Day (10), President’s Joke Day (11), Bad Poetry Day (18), Poet’s Day (21), The Duchess Who Wasn’t Day (27), Crackers Over the Keyboard Day (28) and According to Hoyle Day (29).

Had no idea who Hoyle was, so I looked him up. Edmund Hoyle apparently created the 52-card playing deck, something practically everyone has sitting somewhere in their parcel of Chicago real estate.

Now what are we going to talk about on August 29?

Have a great month!
