A former Chicago Cub is letting go of the city and selling his Chicago real estate.

Derrek Lee has listed his condo in the heart of the Gold Coast for $1,275,000.

terraceThe corner unit, located on the 12th floor of a luxurious high-rise at 1155 N. Dearborn Street, boasts three private terraces providing east, north and west views.

The 3,300-square-foot, half-floor private residence features three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, two gas fireplaces, an expansive chef’s kitchen, hardwood floors throughout and two included parking spots in a heated garage.

The pet-friendly condo is relatively new; the 16-story tower was built in 2003 and offers a door person, an exercise room and a bike room.

If the next homeowner pays anything near the asking price, the baseball player will make a killing in this tough Chicago real estate market; D-Lee paid $787,500 for the unit from the developer in 2004.

Other costs to consider:

*Assessments: $2,100 a month

*2009 tax bill: $21,013
