Free Chicago Health Fair on Tuesday

Looking for a Chicago doctor? Got a health question? Worried about your blood pressure?

The University of Illinois Medical Center is hosting a free Health and Education Fair for the community on Tuesday, September 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UIC Forum.

The free fair will include:

*Brief lectures from physicians on more than 20 topics, including breastfeeding, diabetes, contraception, immunization, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and robotic kidney transplantation.

*A ‘Meet the Doc’ event from 11 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m., when providers from pulmonary, urology, nutrition and wellness, family medicine, pain, sickle cell, obstetrics and pediatrics will be available for one-on-one conversations.

*Free screenings, including body mass index (BMI), blood pressure and glucose.

*Free lipid screenings (including cholesterol) for the first 25 people who fasted 12 hours prior to the screening.

*Flu shots for $20 per person from the new University of Illinois Immediate Care Clinic at Maxwell Street.

*More than 20 medical specialties with representatives to answer questions and hand out information, including:

*Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat)



*Robotic Surgery Simulation
