Veteran’s Virtual Career Fair Follows 9/11

The day after the 10-year anniversary of 9/11, there will be an online job fair for veterans.

The virtual Veterans Career Fair will take place on Monday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST.

hand coming out of a computerEmployer booths will remain open 24/7 online, so participants can get in touch with recruiters anytime, and from anywhere.

At least 70 Fortune 1000 employers will be online ready to accept resumes, answer questions and help connect veterans to promising employment opportunities.

The employers represent more than 21,000 jobs available nationwide.

The unemployment rate for post-9/11 veterans is at 12.4 percent, and that figure is expected to go even higher once more than 50,000 service members return from overseas by the end of the year.

Over 33,000 veterans are already registered for the online career fair, which is also open to military spouses.
