November 01, 2011

A Chicago real estate professional has been crowned Remodeler of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders.

NAHB Remodelers named Mike Nagel, CGR, CAPS, of MAW Chicago, the 2011 Remodeler of the Year for his professional achievements and tireless support of the industry.

Nagel started in construction at age 14 with his father and was a project manager and design engineer for three firms before starting his own remodeling firm in 1986.

The Roselle resident is currently a partner in MAW (Men at Work) Chicago LLC, a company that combined three existing firms into one.

He also served as a consultant for Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry “Smart House: Green and Wired.”

“Mike Nagel is a strong advocate for professionalism in the remodeling industry and has led successful businesses for 25 years,” said NAHB Remodelers Chairman Bob Peterson, CGR, CAPS, CGP. “I’m excited to present this award to a remodeler who has achieved success in business, contributed to community service causes and represents remodeling industry concerns to all levels of government.”
