On Tuesday, Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced that the Dow Chemical Company will be creating a sales center in downtown Chicago, which will add about 400 new jobs to the area over the next three years.

“Dow’s commitment to Chicago is a reflection of the great work ethic and business environment in the city,” said Mayor Emanuel. “Dow’s new office will be a gathering place, an easily accessible, central location in which business can be conducted and ideas will be exchanged. It will be great for the City of Chicago and great for the company as well.”

The positions will be primarily sales professionals who will service the Midwest.

This is the 13th announcement of new jobs from Mayor Emanuel, who has helped secure 8,000 jobs for Chicago since taking office earlier this year.
