Fergon Architects wins Gold Key Award for Oak Brook Home

November 16, 2011

Chicagoland Real Estate Forum congratulates Fergon Architects for winning a Gold Key Award in the category of “Excellence in New Construction: Townhouse and Duplex 2,001 – 2,250″ for 164 Briarwood, Oak Brook.

The homeowners wanted to create an open floor plan that resembled a custom home, which Montreux Homes built in Hinsdale. The home was completely renovated from exterior window placements to all bath locations.

The attention of detail is relevant throughout with dark walnut flooring, tumbled travertine foyer, custom-designed limestone mantel and surround that transforms this 1972 home into a unique, old-world residence.

The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago Key Awards were created in 1972 to recognize excellence in housing design, architecture, interior merchandising, remodeling and landscaping. It has since evolved into one of the premier housing programs in the country.
