November 25, 2011

Did you get in line at 11 p.m. on Thursday for a Black Friday special? Or, are you a morning person who chose the store that opened at 4 a.m.?

Did you avoid shopping altogether after Thanksgiving? Want other ways to enjoy the holiday season this weekend outside your Chicago real estate? Here you go:

Don't these lights at Lincoln Park Zoo look even more beautiful knowing they are energy-efficient?

Lincoln Park Zoo has been transformed into a dazzling wonderland for Zoolights, a celebration that provides free seasonal festivities from Nov. 25 through January 1, 2012.

ComEd is co-sponsoring the event and has provided approximately 2 million energy-efficient holiday lights that now illuminate the park. The LED lights last seven times longer than traditional holiday lights, are very weather resistant and great for outdoor use.
