Have a Say in the City Sticker Display

December 07, 2011

Want to help decide what the 2012-13 Chicago city sticker will look like? Vote!

The City Clerk’s Office has opened voting to the public to determine next year’s sticker design.

The designs were created by Chicago high school students for the city’s 17th Annual City Vehicle Sticker Contest. Nearly 240 students entered, now the public can vote on the Top 10, and let me tell you, they are impressive.

The theme is “Chicago’s Heroes” and honors our city’s police officers, firemen and emergency medical service personnel.

The student who submitted the winning entry will receive a $1,000 savings bond award and will see his/her artwork on approximately 1.3 million automobile windshields beginning June 2012.

Second and third place contestants will receive $500 and $250 savings bonds respectively. The seven remaining finalists will each get $100 savings bonds. All finalists will be presented with honorary resolutions at a special ceremony held at City Hall.

The contest runs through Sunday, December 11.
