Register for Free Chicago Housewares Show

March 08, 2012

The 2012 International Home + Housewares Show is coming to Chicago this week.

The world’s largest marketplace of home goods for the trade profession is set for March 10-13 at McCormick Place.

Tens of thousands of buyers from over 100 counties representing the world’s leading retailers will attend the show. These buyers represent the largest single home products and housewares market in the world, and 99 percent of the top 150 U.S. retailers will be on hand.

There is no charge for trade participants to attend the show, but you must register by Friday, March 9.

If you are coming into town for the show, the International Housewares Association (IHA) has negotiated the lowest rates in the city with 51 official block hotels.

There are also discounted airline and car rental options through the IHA show.

The show is sold out to vendors and will feature nearly 2,100 exhibitors from 125 countries, including more than 500 new companies. There were so many new companies that wanted in, however, that this year’s show will feature a New Exhibitor Area with another 100 companies from categories throughout the show.

“The sold-out status is continued evidence that the housewares and home goods segment is standing up well in the face of our current economic situation,” said Phil Brandl, IHA president. “The buyers will certainly need the extra half day to see all that is new at the Show this year.”
