Bulls Star Moving to New Heights, Literally

March 13, 2012

Chicago Real Estate Forum loves its celebrity-resident news, and there has been a lot of it lately.

Providing the latest is Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose, who has purchased a $2.8 million condo in Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago at 401 N. Wabash Avenue.

Trump Chicago

Did you know that Trump Chicago was built where the original Chicago Sun-Times building used to live?

The 3,102-square-foot unit is located on an upper floor of the prestigious 92-story skyscraper and includes three bedrooms, four bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the city and two parking spaces.

Trump Chicago offers top-notch security, a 24-hour white glove doorman, 24-hour room service, a world-class health club and spa and a heated swimming pool.

Rose, 23, grew up in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. Seems he’ll have no problem paying his new mortgage: NBA’s MVP recently signed a five-year, $95 million contract extension with the Bulls and a 14-year, $260 million deal with Adidas.

The humble basketball phenom told reporters before the Bulls game on Saturday that he doesn’t take the home purchase for granted, calling it “a blesssing.”

Rose is waiting for furniture to be delivered before moving in and hopes to be situated before the end of the season.

Hope he loves his new digs.
