KLM Builders has partnered with Pauly Toyota dealership to give away 2012 Toyota Prius cars to the first five buyers of single-family homes at Sunset Ridge in Richmond and Thousand Oaks in Spring Grove. The base MSRP of the Toyota Prius is $24,985. The car has a five-door hatchback, is a 4 cylinder, 1.8 Liter, with automatic transmission and gets 51 MPG (miles per gallon) in the city and 48 on the highway.

The partnership makes sense. KLM Builders is building energy-efficient Chicago homes, so home buyers will be helping to protect the environment in energy-conscious vehicles and homes. Buyers will also benefit from cost savings, with reduced home utility bills and car gasoline costs.

Both communities feature semi-custom ranch and two-story floor plans. Sunset Ridge has 75 one-quarter- to one-third-acre lots available, with three to five bedrooms and two- or three-car garages. Homes feature formal living and dining rooms and great rooms, priced starting at $178,900. Thousand Oaks has 45 1- to 2-acre home sites with three to four bedrooms and two- to four-car garages, priced starting at $355,900. Standard features in both communities include solid-surface countertops, Andersen windows, direct-vent furnaces and full basements. Home exteriors include combinations of vinyl siding and brick.
