MRED is Chicago real estate‘s multiple listing service (MLS), and it is adding another Realtor association to its portfolio.

KIFAR, which has operated its own MLS since 1957, is located about an hour south of Chicago.

“Many of our members have been purchasing services outside of our current MLS system,” said Connie Legris, Executive Officer of KIFAR. “They are very impressed with the programs available to them as part of the overall MRED technology package. We look forward to working with a company that is constantly looking for ways to bring the latest technology to our members, helping them to better serve their clients.”

Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) serves nearly 8,000 real estate offices and 40,000 real estate professionals, including brokers, agents and appraisers, throughout northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and Northwest Indiana. Considered one of the flagship MLSs in the country, MRED can provide its services to customers at a much lower cost than smaller organizations trying to operate their own MLS.

“MRED’s Board of Managers is thrilled to have another Realtor® Association join us,” said MRED President Rob Schaid.

“MRED leadership continues to look for more opportunities to expand our service area which ultimately will benefit any new organization as well as MRED. We have already received inquiries from throughout the state and hope to capitalize on those opportunities.”
