Broker Open Party at Chicago Loft Building

April 25, 2012

A West Loop loft development is unveiling a new model with a special broker preview tour on Thursday for Chicago real estate agents.

Van Buren Lofts, 1224 W. Van Buren, Chicago, is an eight-story brick building in the heart of the West Loop. Originally a paper mill, the site was converted into lofts in 2007 and named VB1224.

The property was taken over last year by Hinsdale-based Foxford Development, which changed the name of the building, made design improvements and cut unit prices.

To give you an idea of the slashed prices; now available at Van Buren Lofts:

*A two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath courtyard loft with 1,100 square feet of living space was originally priced at $282,900 and is now $189,900.

*A two-bedroom, one-bath condo unit, originally priced at $307,900, is now $199,900.

The pet-friendly building offers a doorman, an exercise facility, a private resident club room, a common roof deck and free parking in a heated garage.

Loft units feature 10- to 12-foot ceilings, exposed duct work and concrete columns, hardwood floors, private balconies and high-efficiency HVAC systems. Washers and dryers are included in each unit.

The broker preview event on Thursday, April 26 will feature a new courtyard model. Reservations are requested.
