The Admiral at the Lake to Reopen on Chicago’s Northside in July

The Admiral at the Lake, a 31-story continuing care retirement community, is set to reopen in July. The original Admiral at the Lake opened in 1858. It is Chicago’s oldest nonprofit organization focused on senior living.

The New Admiral at the LakeTorn down in 2007, the new Admiral at the Lake features 200 apartment, including one- to three-bedroom units with many offering views of Lake Michigan and downtown. The $200 million senior living center will be located at the corner of Foster Avenue and Marine Drive.
