The core of the priority spending plan is to assess and reduce your spending. This keeps you from over-extending yourself financially by removing things you don’t need or can live without until you have money available. This includes luxuries like gym memberships, magazine subscriptions, upgraded cell phone plans and the like. This strict

budget can help you identify your spending habits and avoid wasting money.

If you still find yourself unable to satisfy all of your needs, there are ways you can get help. For child care assistance programs or for information on help paying for childcare, contact Child Care Aware. There are also medical assistance programs, such as one through the U.S. Department of Health & Human services. Prescription drug assistance programs are also available from groups like the Partnership for Prescription Assistance.
