There is an opportunity for some new homeowners to set themselves up for a good viewing of the famous family when they return as a house situated a little over a block north of Obama’s Chicago real estate is for sale.

The historic Queen Anne mansion is called the C.E. Gill Residence, is located at 4917 S. Greenwood Ave. and has an asking price of $1,699,000.

It was designed by William Otis, a prominent local architect and an Art Institute lecturer, and built in 1896, which is apparent with vintage details throughout including the original woodwork, period ceiling fixtures, stained glass windows and bedroom closet sinks.
