Neighborhood Housing Services Wins 2012 Good Neighbor Award

July 08, 2012

Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of Chicago was recently awarded the Chicago Association of Realtors’ (C.A.R.) Good Neighbor Award for their development of Roseland Place Apartments in the Roseland Community.

The Good Neighbor Award is given to those new and rehabbed pieces of Chicago real estate that boost local pride and increase economic vibrancy. Many of the winning properties blend well with their surroundings as well as offer exceptional amenities and facilities.

Roseland Place is a 60 unit apartment building developed for independent living seniors. These apartments create a welcoming environment that not only improve residents’ quality of life, but also the quality of the entire Roseland Community. The building is located adjacent to the “Grandfamily” building, which is an affordable multigenerational apartment building also developed by NHS. Combined, the buildings form the Roseland Senior Campus, which is LEED certified with Energy Star appliances, low flow plumbing and solar hot water. Community amenities such as a garden and children’s play space only further enhance residents’ living experience.
