Speakers Announced for Chicago Ideas Week

chicago ideas week Chicago new homeowners can look forward to an exciting lineup at this year’s Chicago Ideas Week. The event, which will take place October 8-14,  is a week-long celebration of innovation within the Chicago community.

This year Chicago Ideas Week will be doubling in size with the hopes of attracting even more Chicagoans who are eager to share their ideas for new initiatives and ventures.

Chicago Ideas Week will host more than 130 events, all with the main goal of creating new community relationships and sharing different perspectives. Participants can attend CIW Talks, which are 90-minute sessions that feature three to six speakers presenting on a panel that may incorporate anything ranging from interviews to performances.

The event also offers CIW Labs, which are a great way for participants to explore the inner workings of Chicago businesses and institutions. Small groups allow attendees to get hands-on and see what it’s really like to run a business.

Some notable speakers for this year’s Chicago Ideas Week are as follows.

Brandon Boyd, artist and lead singer of Incubus
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, academy-awarding winning journalist and filmmaker
Tim Ferriss, author of the best-seller the “4 Hour Work Week”
Chris Hughes, publisher and editor-in-chief of The New Republic
Kohl Crecelius, CEO and Co-Founder of Krochet Kids International
Eva Paterson, president of the Equal Justice Society
David Gregory, moderator of NBC’s “Meet the Press”
