Northern Illinois Home Builders Association Now Offering Classes

Northern Illinois Home Builders Association ClassesLooking for a way to become more savvy about the Chicago real estate industry? The Northern Illinois Home Builders Association will be offering business management and CAPS classes this October.

On October 4 and 5 the NAHB will hold CAPS I and CAPS II Classes. Each class will count as six continuing education hours.

The CAPS I course is titled “Marketing & Communications Strategies for Aging & Accessibility.” The class will identify how to successfully grow your business by interacting with customers in the 50+ age group. Those attending will learn all of the best practices for communicating in this ever-growing market.

“The Design/Build Solutions for Aging & Accessibility” will be the theme of the CAPS II class. Participants will learn more about the guidelines and requirements of accessibility and will get a closer look at the importance of good design.

The two-day session will be held at the Parksite Facility at 1563 Hubbard Ave. in Batavia from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m each day. Check in-begins at 7:30 a.m. Registration costs are $175 per class for NAHB members and $250 per class for non-members.

Interested in business management skills? The NAHB will also offer a Business Management for Professionals Course on October 11. The course will give the inside scoop on the practices that are essential for small business success, such as: planning, organizing and staffing/directing.

The one-day session will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Parksite Facility at 1563 Hubbard Ave. in Batavia. Check in-begins at 7:30 a.m. The NAHB member fee is $175 and the non-member fee is $275.

Both classes will be taught by Art Wehnert of Country Construction Co.
