West Cook Home Ownership Center Opens in Forest Park

new West Cook  home ownership centerThe West Cook Home Ownership Center recently moved its offices from the Oak Park Regional Housing Center  to 7740 W. Madison St., Forest Park and hopes to offer more programs and accommodate more Chicago new homes buyers. Services are offered to all residents who are interested in learning more about mortgages, first-time home buying and foreclosures.

On-site staff will be available to help clients with everything from choosing the right real estate agent to figuring out the fine print on mortgage applications. Once clients purchase a home, the center can assist them with tips on money management, home upkeep and re-financing.

The Forest Park location will also offer seminars conducted on the fourth Tuesday of every month, which will take place at the Oak Park Village Hall on 123 Madison St. This month’s seminar will take place on September 25.

In addition to offering services to first-time home buyers, the center hopes to assist those struggling with foreclosure. The ownership center works in conjunction with the Illinois Hardest Hit Fund, which offers temporary mortgage payment assistance to households struggling with finances due to underemployment or unemployment.
