universities attract chicago new home buyersU.S. News & World Report recently came out with their latest college rankings, and it looks as if proximity to great colleges and universities is another reason to buy a Chicago new home.

The University of Chicago received the highest accolades, coming in at number four on the 2013 list of top national universities. The university boasts more than 400 student organizations, strong undergraduate programs and top-notch graduate programs in business, law, medicine, public policy and economics.

Northwestern University is another Chicago educational institution that received stellar marks, coming in at number twelve on the list of top national universities. Stand-out programs include the Kellogg School of Management, School of Education and Social Policy and School of Law.

In addition to ranking large universities, U.S. News & World Report also issues national rankings for liberal arts schools. Wheaton College was ranked in the top 100 liberal arts schools in the country. Wheaton is a Christian liberal arts college that prides itself on giving students plenty of individual attention and access to many extracurricular and study abroad opportunities.

The U.S. News & World Report College rankings are released every year, and rank colleges and universities based on factors such as academic quality, faculty resources, student selectivity and retention of students.
