Don’t Miss the Chicago Design Harvest Festival this Weekend

chicago new home design harvestHave you been meaning to spruce up the decor in your Chicago new home but need some inspiration? Then check out the Chicago Design Harvest Festival, which will take place this weekend on September 29 and 30.

The event features furniture and home accessory makers, vintage and antique collectors and retailers in the local design industry.

There will be a wide variety of vendors, and here’s some information on some of the featured ones.

Dock 6

A group of independent designers, furniture-makers and fabricators. A goal of the organization is also to promote open dialogue between artists and designers.


Unison prides themselves on offering home decor created through local production. They offer a variety of home decor products including bedding, blankets and table linens and their hand-printed pillows and table linens are created at small factories in Chicago.

ID Chicago
Founded in 2001, ID Chicago provides the following services: professional design, optical service, interior consultations and real estate brokerage, which is quite an impressive mix.

Workroom Lifestyle Showroom
A full service showroom and design studio that will design and install products for any home.

Provides accessories created by artisan led cooperatives, and places an emphasis on paying artists fair wages.

The festival will take place on Grand Avenue between Damen Avenue and Wood Street from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
