October 29, 2012

halloween and chicago real estateCan’t wait for trick-or-treating this year? You’re in luck! Chicago was ranked at number six on the “20 Best Cities to Trick or Treat List” in 2012. The list was created by the fourth annual Zillow Trick-or-Treat index and scores U.S. cities based on who provides the most candy with the least amount of walking and the most safety.

The survey also ranked the best neighborhoods within the Chicago area for trick or treating and Ravenswood Manor earned the top spot. Ravenswood Manor is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a mainly residential neighborhood that was established during the early twentieth century. Many homes in Ravenswood Manor are bordered by the Chicago River and the combination of historic homes along the river certainly makes a great Halloween atmosphere.

Wrightwood Neighbors came in at number two and Edgebrook earned the number three spot. The North Center neighborhood ranked at number four and the Lincoln Park neighborhood ranked number five.

Where in the Chicago area will you be trick-or-treating this year?
