YouTube Channel Makes New Chicago Apartment Hunting Easy

November 07, 2012

new chicago apartment searchIf you’ve been looking for a new Chicago apartment, your search may finally get a little bit easier. Apartments.com recently launched its own YouTube™ channel. The new channel will give renters first-hand access to video tours and walk-throughs of apartments. Apartments.com is also the first rental site to offer map-based searches on YouTube.

According to Apartments.com, apartment renters said they prefer walk-through style videos in order to get a better feel for the type of apartment they’d like to rent. Users of the new YouTube site can search for apartments via city and state, rental amount, ZIP code or number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Apartments.com is hoping to increase interactivity by allowing users to give real-time feedback directly on their channel.

The website also recently launched a rent ‘reality check’ feature. The ‘rent reality’ check helps apartment hunters figure out a realistic price-range for an apartment in their city. During their apartment search, many renters are undercutting their price expectations by as much as 41 percent.

Will you be using any of the new Apartments.com features?
