Shop in Andersonville for Your Cook County New Homes

December 11, 2012

Experience another great chance to support local businesses at the Late Night Andersonville Event!

The festivities take place on Friday, December 14, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Shoppers can explore Andersonville’s best home furnishings and design shops while enjoying the sound of carolers and live music! Forty stores and restaurants will stay open late and offer December savings on gifts for your Cook County new homes.

Here’s a list of some of this year’s featured shops:

  • Scout, 5221 North Clark St.: An urban antique store whose approach to design is “to take familiar elements – simple and unadorned – and make them feel interesting and sophisticated again.”
  • Foursided, 2939 North Broadway St.: Your one-stop- shop for framing and wall art.
  • Greensky, 5357 North Ashland Avenue: Voted the “Best Eco-Friendly Shop” by Time Out Chicago, this is the perfect place to pick up some ‘green’ gifts.

Once you’ve completed your home décor shopping, be sure to stop at George’s Ice Cream and Sweets for free gift wrapping that will use old blue prints and movie posters instead of traditional holiday paper.

Andersonville is one of Chicago’s most popular north side neighborhoods. The Andersonville Commercial Historic District, which runs between 4900 and 5800 North Clark Street, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in March 2010.
