McNaughton Development Group Wins Gold Key Award for a Custom Home

December 12, 2012

Chicago Real Estate Forum and Marketing RELEVANCE congratulate for winning a Gold in for a .

McNaughton Development Group stated: Our goal was to design an upscale home suitable for a country-like setting that would combine functionality with luxury. Burr Ridge Estates is a four lot subdivision built on over five acres of land, and each lot is approximately 1.25 acres. The massive home sites allowed us to build the home 120 feet off of the curb for a country estate feel.

This location is within a mile of the expressway, restaurants and shopping, but is privately tucked away. Downtown commuters are less than 20 minutes away, and Oak Brook, the shopping and restaurant mecca of the near northwest suburbs, is 15 minutes away. Burr Ridge Town Center (shopping and dining) is one mile south. Also, this development is within the very desirable Hinsdale Central school district.

Our design goal was to produce an exquisitely finished, upscale product that would offer comfort and privacy to all members of the family. The master bedroom along with a second bedroom are on the first floor (main level) divided by the great room and dining areas. The third and fourth bedrooms are on the second level and are generously spaced apart and each have their own bathroom. A large bonus room is also on the second level and can be used for a fifth bedroom. The finished lower level boasts a large rec room with a finished wet bar and wine cellar, a game room, bathroom and generous storage area.

This open, flowing floor plan features custom designed beams and coffered ceilings throughout, plus five beautifully appointed fireplaces. The home also features eight-foot knotty Alder doors with oil rubbed hardware, a main floor study with built-in bookcases, five-foot walnut flooring in the foyer, dining room, great room, study and master sitting room. An entire home audio system has been included with ceiling speakers and multifunction wall controls as well as a Smart Home automated lighting control system and alarm system with multiple keypads.

The exterior of the home is brick, quarry stone and stucco. There are paver brick walks, a driveway and rear patio. There are also professionally landscaped grounds with a sprinkler system, cedar deck and fire pit.
We feel this home is the epitome of quality custom finishes, custom design and functionality in a beautiful suburban countryside location.
