More Students are Studying Real Estate

According to reports from top business schools around the country, student interest in real estate is gaining in momentum. The population of students studying real estate fell during the recession, but now numbers are slowly inching back towards normal levels.

Interested in pursuing a real estate education in Chicago? Here’s a rundown of some of the local business schools and the types of real estate programs that they offer.

  • Northwestern University: The Kellogg School’s Real Estate Program. In addition to classroom education, this program offers students a wide variety of opportunities to interact with real estate professionals.
  •  Loyola University: Real Estate Law Program at the School of Law. This program focuses on areas relating to financing and development, the purchase and sale of property as well as construction contracts.
  • DePaul University: MBA in Real Estate Finance and Investment, MS in Real Estate and BS in Commerce Real Estate. DePaul is also home to the Real Estate Center, which offers job mentoring, job placement and internship programs.
